Rolled my Fiesta RS1800 this morning
On my way home this morning I braked and swerved to avoid two rabbits and lost control. The car veered towards a hedge and the nearside front wheel clipped the bank and flipped me over. Car ended up on its side and at a right angle to the direction I was travelling.
I am 100% fine, mainly thanks to my seatbelt.
Took me a while to get my belt undone and get out of the car, was a little scary at this point as you just want to get out as soon as you can.
I've never been in a car that's rolled before and it's not an experience I plan on repeating!
Didn't manage to get any photos, as I couldn't find my camera. There's not as much damage as I expected but I still think it will be a write off.
Spooky thing is that the mileometer when I crashed ended in 999!
The price you pay for liking animals!
Take care out there guys.

Gutted to hear about the accident
It eventually becomes natural during competition not to swerve for rabbits or other small animals etc, but with general driving on the road I mostly always do.
The guilt of killing is sometimes easier to swallow than the months of panel beating
Glad your ok - and was wearing a 'belt

I would have driven ober Bugs and his pal. No moral issues there. When it comes to me and my car, and some fluffy animals, i pick me and the car every time.

Sorry to hear about the car but glad you're ok. Rolling must be a hell of a weird experience. I personally couldn't drive over anything, including pigeons etc.

Its amazing how a natural reaction of avoiding hitting an animal could of caused so much damage !!
I know i would of done the same as would alot of others, i mean i even duck when a bird flys towards my windscreen

Sorry to hear the bad news, at least you've only bent metal and your pride rather than bones
I don't know, I've met a pheasant (no, not a peasant lol) on a country lane once while travelling at a fair rate of knots, and the only thing I could think of was to line it up between the front wheels rather than try and avoid it.
The result was a plucked pheasant and lots of feathers flying out the back of the car

Yeah I'm okay thanks Lee. Little achy today but it could've been a lot worse.
I was hanging sideways and you're right it's really not very pleasant.
