WTf is jenson button doing....
Leavin BAR/Honda to join Williams....
Honda are VERY successful in F1 and BAR are now showing World Championship contenter performance.....
Why would you leave a good opp like that ?

I know what you mean, but come on. Only 3 teams in the series have won more that 3 championships in their history. And BAR arent one of them. Impressive though there recent form is, I doubt they can convert it into a title charge in the next 4 years. Everyone predicted their 1st win earlier in the season. Hasnt happened yet. Even at Monaco where MS didnt finish. The others have HUGE resources and crucially the experience.
I predict (oh christ) he'll do better at Wiliams than at BAR

Honda have done as well as who then ?
BMW are not in top 3 are they ?
I see what ya saying but as a package the german engine builders aint got what it takes @ the moment....
Honda have awesome engines....just look at the standard road engines over a standard german unit.

If you look at the history the best bet would be Williams they are more likley to to be the more succsessfull team, Whether anyone will beat Ferrari is another thing.

I have to agree, I think he will stand a better chance at Williams. The one thing I really hate about Williams though is Patrick Head, what a stuck up twat he seems to be. You have to admit that williams went down hill drastically when Adrian Newey left for McLaren and it is well publisised that the only reason he went was because Patrick Head was a twat and tried to over control everything and not give people more scope to meet there potential.
Fingers crossed for Jenson though where ever he is next year!!!

OK then I'll add in the "Modern F1 era" phrase
Actually Honda these days isnt the mighty force it was in the 60s. Its still fookin huge, but its run by accountants not engineers any more. Im reliably informed.
I would argue that BMs "M" engines are pretty good.
Oh and Mercs engines are built in Northampton.
Not exactly what Ive heard. AN wanted to be tech director. PH is 50% of WGPE, so that was never going to happen. RD offered him that opputunity, and naturally he took it.

Am looking @ history but more in power plants....
take the the renaults under power yet better performance over the bm/mercs by power comparision...
Its hard to compare to BAR to anyone as they are new BUT are moving faster than anyone else in F1....

The trouble is how do we know its a good or bad engine there is to many variables on this, Is the Renaults very powerfull as they blow anyone away on the startline or is it just more grip, We are only led by what the commentors say.

Rich, i know what ya saying....
But Both williams and mclaren are pretty shit at the moment, don't mean they will get better just cause they have better reputations and history.
I think he is wrong to go, could take the BAR team far, along with Honda...
My favourite team is mclaren BTW, so i aint being biased, always like mclaren cars.

Ross Brawn called us for one Mark, but as it was already committed to Rod's car, we had to blow him out.
Thing is we left the F1 spec drive shafts on, which have proved to be not up to the job in a modern cossie.
I'll get my coat!!!

LOL!
I'd prefer to drive for BAR right now than Williams. Honda is way cooler than BMW, Honda's F1 success is mighty next to the not quite so successful BMW motors.

I have never been a Williams fan, but you can't knock the pedigree.
Plus has Dave Richards got what it takes to make BAR a winner??? I mean he didn't do much when he was at Benneton. Mind you no one can fault his Prodrive organisation at all.
At the end of the day though its all imaterial, because unless Ferarri forget to turn up, none else is winning consistently for a long time in my opinion.
I like Schui, I know I am gonna get flamed for saying that, but the guy is a legend. He IS by far the best driver at the moment and probably the best of all time in my opinion. He can and does win from anywhere with relative ease!!
I will never forget back in his benetton days when he qualified 16th at Spa and stayed out on slicks in the pouring rain to over take Damon "highly overated" Hill in the closing stages to win. The guy is a GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What F1 is are the very best people competing with each other but it is a total sport unless they communicatied with each other all of the time it doesnt work,
I know some people in F1 and this is why Ferrari is so far ahead of the game.

DR wanted to sell Bennetton to a manufascturer. The family didnt want to so sacked him after bugger all time. It wasnt until FB said we really need to that the Renault buy out happened.
Adrian
All the CRB says is that there is a contract, not whats actually in it. Williams have one for JB back in 02.

sean if things don't got schushters way TOYS are thrown LOL....i mean team orders
Sorry but a honda is mainly bout the engine rich, not the wanker status that comes with a BMW...
I would not trade my crx for a bmw of same value, no fuckin way......400 quid will not get u a car that revs to 8400 rpm and has a steel bomb proof bottom end....

sean the s2000 is 120 aint it, rev's to 9k....
remove the 155 mph rev limit on an m3 and see it rev in top, bet you wont see 150k on the clock LOL....
My engine in crx has done 160k.....at pure death, only issue is one oil seal and water pump failure....engine is exactly as it was.....

WOW, so how many cc is an S2000 then???
I know my E30 aint 100bhp per ltr, but it aint far off and it has done 120k and is still sweet.
I remember having a chat with Karl about Honda's and BM's as he says he has took both engines to bits. He said the BM was pretty impressive inside??????
They are both head and shoulders above other manufacturers NA engines though.
I do remember reading somewhere that Honda have NEVER had an internal failure with one of there VTEC's That is a mighty impressive statement if true!!!

Thought it was a 2.0l and 240bhp but fuck knows LOL....
E30 is VERY FUCKING cool tho, i would swap the honda for that, even if they have a crap reliablity reputation - after seeing loads fucked @ dono think this is nearer true than not..
Yeah apparently no vtec engine has let go....if so then how can anyone question honda's engines over any other, cause i know some one on here who has done a m series BMW hey dumped

Why are people talking about road cars They bear no resemblance to F1 engines or indeed cars I would sign for Williams over BAR anyday if I was an F1 driver.

Just how the post as gone james....
I would go to mclaren over anyone....LOL....
But BAR 2nd as its the newest team moving fastest up the grid.....everyone else is either moving back or staying same.

I think it's the wrong decision.
It's not like Ralf and Juan Pablo are poor drivers and they haven't been very competitive this year.
He should stay at BAR.
Michael won his first world championship at Bennetton and they weren't exactly a fashionable team.
There's no point him changing teams, as while Schumacher continues to race, they're competing for second, which he's been pretty good at this year, in the BAR!

I have to totally agree with dingy, jenson has really pissed on his own fire there, williams dumped him after one season, and forget history cos a team that was "the best in the year dot" may not be now, and from what I am seeing BAR are the only team moving forward in the quest to beat ferrari.
