what a bugger ive loved your car for ages! silver saffs are great but what with the rebuild plan on mine and just getting racey's magenta 1 theres no way in the world i could. i'll have to be depressed now . just hope it goes to someone who appreciates how special it is and treats it well! what price are you really looking to get out of curiosity? pm if you feel more comfortable mate.

but what makes it special, i can see a "body kit" on it any thing else? why were they made? is there a story behind it? an what sort of numbers were produced?

this is a 'rough' idea, they only made a couple of hundred i believe, they were converted by andy rouse, hence the name rouse sport, they made 2 versions, the 302R, which was 2wd, and the 304R, which was 4wd, they had different boot spoiler, different sideskirts, front splitter and different front seats to the normal saffs, and i believe the engines had more horse power, but i couldnt tell what was the difference with the engines, im sure one of the rouse owners will give you a better idea than me

some pics

Wrong the RS200 Evo was the rareset model

Fiddy almost there mate

A few diffrence to a normal saff cos on the Rousesport

The car was built for driveability and comfort the aim was to have the best road going cosworth avab.

Orders for these Cars where taken from a selected 25 RS dealerships across the UK and cars where delivered to Andy Rouse direct from the factory then worked on by his mechancs the same chaps that worked on the famous RS500 touring cars.

260bhp/300lbt Rouse 302-r/304-r

A smaller Garret T25 turbo rather than T3 which all but eliminates turbo lag as boost is available from about 1700 rpm upwards.

Re-mapped ECU.

uprated suspension bushes

Aerodymics package inc

Different front bumper which also incorporates an RS500 style splitter.

Larger boot spoiler.

Different side skirts

Rear bumper skirt

Rouse Sport 302-R/304-R decals to back valence and side rubbing strips.

Rolled arches to accommodate the 225/50/15 yokohama tyres rather than 205/50/15 on the standard Cosworth.

Full leather interior (only very few had cloth) which included extra shoulder bolsters in the front seats which were also re-badged as Rouse Sport rather than Recaro

Option Wood pack fitted to door cards and dash inserts ash trays etc..

More sound proofing around bulkhead and under carpets, foam also placed around the car to stop rattles etc..

luggage bar & straps

twin edge wipers

high output bulbs

identification plaque

Initially Andy Rouse planned to build 100, however, the total figure only reached 67 of which 6 were 2WD, the other 61 were 4WD as the cost of these model where around Ł30k

Big BHP figures were not the aim, the aim was to develop the engine to produce more than 300lb/ft of torque. This was achieved, hence the name, 302 for the two wheel drive and 304 for the 4 wheel drive. The 2 and 4 relating to drive wheels and the 300 depicting 300lb/ft torque.

theres prob a few more Modifications i forgot or don`t know of?

PS. a new pic of mine those are years old above
