These cars run rover V8's i Believe.
if you want to make good power go with ford 302/351 or chevy 350 V8 as they will both go in with some work. these have lots of tuning potential also.
i'm mounting a 302 block in a saph at the moment then we're building the motor to 331ci with nitrous cam grind and a demon carb. will be a fast car!!

I have a 302 and a couple of turbos laying around. And I was just looking at a cost comparison and I can get more power for less money with 302 than the 4 cyl cos block. Just a long road thought.

Thats the very same meet mate, until the police got speed bumps put in (bolted down rubber ones), which we then took out again then they put barriers in.

The funny bit was the drag racing along the front of the shops, and every few months some numpty would over estimate either his brakes or talent and end up sticking a metro or something into a trolley park at 60mph

I know the one you mean, a silver "lazer" model, I think it was actually just a YB though to be honest mate, despite the rumours to the contary, it certainly smoked like one

Trying to remember the name of one of the guys who was always down there who had a 1600i as im sure you will have known him, he always used to claim to have a 500bhp cossie too but never brought it out, he had a button on the gear lever for nitrous but no pipes in the engine bay
I think it was "roy"

I used to have a blue mini at the time, and was there pretty much every meet, me and you probably bumped into each other at some point!

Yeah thats the fella, really nice guy but fook me he could talk some shit when he needed to

I used to be over the Esses quite reguarly with some of the other lads from Cov.

Do you know Ross who used to have a mk2 cavalier on throttle bodies at that point in time, big fella who used to do a lot of weights and stuff, he was one of my housemates at the time.

Or Chris who used to have a mini he did soundoffs with, bought a brand new cooper then came home and ripped the back seats out and filled it full of rockford gear?

Or mad dave who used to drive a van from brown brothers and had a cav sri 130, he gave me a tow home when i broke my diff and i swear the needle only ventured back down onto the speedo in my mini about twice the whole journey, i was fucking terrified

Properly small world at times!

I was thinking of putting a 302 T-5 bell housing on the MTX75 and keeping it AWD. With a dual sump oil pan I should be able to fab an axle mount for the front diff and such.
