Default Anyone getting digitla TV (Freeview) using an INDOOR aerial?

Right, so I can't be arsed to get an aerial survey done so we can have a second aerial fitted (already got a main aerial on the roof, but it's at the front of the house, and already has 2x TV's and 2x radio cables coming off it - my room is at back of house, so running another cable would be a complete pain and the more cables, the lesser the quality, blah blah)

But I want to put a Freeview STB in my room as I keep missing half decent prog's

So........ Wondering if anyone has Freeview using an indoor aerial? I tried hooking a DTT box up to my TV using my boggo indoor TV aerial and only got half the channels so I know THAT won't work. But what about these so called "Indoor Digital TV aerials" that are supposed to be really good for getting digital TV without a roof aerial?

Don't really wanna spend £20/£30 to find out it's pants - so if anyone has one, I'd be interested to know if they work

Hmm, my boggo one;

Only picks up the BBC muliplex's and not the ITV multiplexes Which means I only get half the channels

So I was thinking of trying the "special" digital aerials.....

Thrush, I am using one in my room and we even have a wood right next to the house yet I get pretty damn good reception and all channels. My aerial is a £9.99 affair from Dixons. Incidentally, the more expensive, fancier £20 model was useless

I will try to find the aerial for you, hang on....

I knew the cheapo one worked as I had one before that when I was living as a poor student

I broke it and my mum got me the fancy one and that was absolute wank. I sent her back with it.

It will depend how far you are away from the transmitter and if there are any hills in the way between you and it.

Totally depends on your location Thrush.

I used to pick it up fine in Bangor North Wales with a cheap indoor aerial but in Wolves we struggled even with a big one in the loft.

I don't even know where the local transmitter is. I think ther eis one in Crystal Palace, which is about 30miles or so I think....

I get pretty crystal clear digital TV from my roof aerial, with no loss of channels, and no interferrence I know of (every now and again there is a "glitch", like a hiccup, but thats more likely the cheapo boxes
