Default Secs data

so i fitted the secs monitor.... great product

What would you guys say was a good act? mine is steady at 30 degrees on a cruise , what difference would water injection make?

And the map reading is different to my shonky boost gauge, so i take it i should adjust the boost to the map reading and ignore the gauge...

ACTs on a light cruise are TOTALLY AND UTTERLY IRRELEVANT . Go see what it is on full chat .

However, if it exceeds 60+°C (back off straight away), you need to think about WI and/or a better intercooler .

Who-ever live mapped the car would have done so connected to the ECU, so would have mapped it to the boost pressures the car was seeing NOT a shonky aftermarket boost gauge .

These intercoolers are "okay" up to 25psi, then the ACTs climb sky-high.....

WI will be a must on your car if you exceed 25psi.

Sorry to post-jack but is it ok to use just the SECS monitor outputs to control the WI Mike ???

Yes it is .

Best to set temp to be "ON if ACTS exceed 42°C and boost is above 10psi". This is the rally strategy and keeps the ACTs around the 44°C mark at full chat (with WI running).

Yep, obviously you need to wire up the pump as per the SECS instructions, I just thought he meant could he use the SECS instead of using the ECU to control it (which it can with Pectel hardware).
