My p8 emits a clicking sound when running
my mate has one that does the same (though slightly quieter)

is this normal? Do they all do it?
can somebody with a p8 please open the lid on theirs and listen while it is running?

mine is audible with the lid closed but my friends unit can only be heard with the lid off...
anybody know why??

so they all do it to some extent and it's nothing to worry about?
sent my p8 off for repair because of clicking

just found it strange as level 8's are silent and the output stages are very similar

Yeah, P8s are far louder, no idea why myself mate, although i believe the drivers are far more powerfull.

I've heard this on mine when I was driving and didn't have the trim panel on (ECU cover was on though)

Figured it was the injectors as it shut up on over-run...
