Default Scrappies in Scotland - closing?

Heard along the grape vine that alot of scrappies are to close due to some new regulations being put into place by the councils - anyone know anymore about this?

Where are we going to get our old ford parts now when the dealer don't stock them

Could well be bullshit then

A mate was over at his local scrappies and was told thier shutting due to new strict regulations which will force alot of the out of business.

I saw him on a Wednesday and arranged to go back on the Saturday to strip a wiring loom out - and arrived just in time to see "my" car getting slid down the ramps to the crusher.

So I bought a Galaxy window motor (funny enough, it WAS £3) but it doesn't work and I'm not making another 240 mile round trip to take it back!!!
