Who told you what?

What mods?

The problem with leaning things off a bit to sort it out being too rich in one place is that normally results in too lean somehwere else.

But to answer the question, depending on the amount of load it will generally go from about 11:1 to 15:1 in terms of what is acceptable

Ie 500bhp cossie @ 2 bar of boost = 11:1
cruising on motorway at vacuum = 15:1

Oh right, didnt even know you had one!

Best thing you can do is get it round to Stu's surely?

How do people normally "trim" it then?

I'd say 11/1 is too rich personally,

but it'd be safe

he did say without any EGT, so its better safe than sorry really IMHO.

Those safcr things are pretty easy to use, so not a bad way of doing it, but for the money they cost, i would just get stu or someone to remap it

Fair enough

Well i would borrow an EGT from someone and then set it up using that too, as TiB says you want to be leaner than "really safe" ideally, but to do that you need to keep an eye on temps, especially if its on the standard turbo as they REALLY dont like a lot of heat (as im sure you of all people know!)
