A mate of mine was taken out in desert storm back in the early 90's when it was 500hp, he said it was nuts back then had never been in or on anything like it! At the time he had a zzr 1100 Kawasaki as well as his Rs turbo and it was much quicker than the zzr he said!
Rod, can't imagine what yours will be like with twice the power, how things have moved on.

The same question will be asked about mine. Personally I will not save mine if theres more money for breaking it, but if all the ground breaking cars are just broken up future generations will not know what had been achieved. Only 4 cars have been fastest RS. Martins two have gone, if Tonys car is not saved & I break mine they will all be lost. Its sad but im afraid that's whats going to happen.

Yup they were shite then and old and shite now. No car has ever looked good on them. I think they were for poor people who didn't have the taste or money for the extra 1 or 2 spokes.

Not a dig, genuine question:
It's not like the WWI memorial is sold off for scrap now is it?
"Future generations will not know what has been achieved..."
Do you really think hammering an old taxi down a disused runway is that important that future generations need to know about it?

They don't need to know but interest does not seem to wane the You tube vids ( I didn't post them others did) are still watched by 1000's each day 10 years after it stopped running. One is approaching the million hits so out there somewhere people are still interested it seems. Is it important no its trivia does it matter no of course not but just look at this site & the fact we are discussing a car 20 years past its heyday.
