The whole turbosystems storm series of cars were a iconic collection back in the era as nearly all tried copying them, Retro is back in and I hope to see a few more Tiger'd up cossies on the road again and at shows

Twin calipers were thanks to WRC hubs weren't they? As they aren't side specific so have calipers mountings both sides I was told?

Its the Names that are remembered they must stay. These were Top cars in the early 90's which is mind blowing. They should be saved IMO.

A mate of mine was taken out in desert storm back in the early 90's when it was 500hp, he said it was nuts back then had never been in or on anything like it! At the time he had a zzr 1100 Kawasaki as well as his Rs turbo and it was much quicker than the zzr he said!
Rod, can't imagine what yours will be like with twice the power, how things have moved on.

The same question will be asked about mine. Personally I will not save mine if theres more money for breaking it, but if all the ground breaking cars are just broken up future generations will not know what had been achieved. Only 4 cars have been fastest RS. Martins two have gone, if Tonys car is not saved & I break mine they will all be lost. Its sad but im afraid that's whats going to happen.

They were Iconic cars when you were too young to remember Andy. There have been few Cossies as well known as these.

Guess it stems from the Gulf war era, but I agree, they're an odd choice. But, as mentioned above, they're memorable!!

If I ever get captured and the baddies need to torture me I am not sure my double hard SAS training could hold up to looking at 3 Spokes for long

Yup they were shite then and old and shite now. No car has ever looked good on them. I think they were for poor people who didn't have the taste or money for the extra 1 or 2 spokes.

I remember desert strike, urban strike (the helicopter games) those was good.

Also remember command and conquer/red alert. Those wasted some time in my youth

Not a dig, genuine question:

It's not like the WWI memorial is sold off for scrap now is it?

"Future generations will not know what has been achieved..."

Do you really think hammering an old taxi down a disused runway is that important that future generations need to know about it?

They don't need to know but interest does not seem to wane the You tube vids ( I didn't post them others did) are still watched by 1000's each day 10 years after it stopped running. One is approaching the million hits so out there somewhere people are still interested it seems. Is it important no its trivia does it matter no of course not but just look at this site & the fact we are discussing a car 20 years past its heyday.
