Default Cossie oil level

Quick question

How much in litres is it between min and max on a saff 4x4 cossie ?

Sure someone told me it was just 1/2 litre. I dont wanna top it up and over fill it and have it smoking !!

i think you shouldn have it on the max level anyway , 3/4 up between top and bottom marks

Its right on min now so i wanna know how much to put in to get it to the 3/4 mark ?

I would say just under a litre (3/4), put in a half as it's defo not less than that, as i used to have to put in a litre a week before so i remember it well....... As for only filling it to 3/4 i don't know why this is the alleged optimum level but it's on the graham goode website in the tips section.

litre a week rog luckily mine is only twice a year inbetween oil chages !

I will put in just over half, last time i put in around 3/4 it went right up to max !

Toughy did you phone about that xr2 ?

didnt ford use the capri dipstick which is 4 litres.... and the cossie is 3.75 they didnt make a proper dipstick for the cossie
