I have to show someone my new tank.....no one i know cares

My old tank is a 55 Litre TropiQuarium, the new one is a 120Litre Juwel Rekord

ooohh i want a fish tank.. ive always wanted fish. we have some golfish but the cats tend to eat them, and they always die.. doesnt help if ur sister pours champagne in teh fish tank...

im sure ur fish are going to be delighted with their new home id like to live there

Fish tanks are cool.

My old one is in the garage now as I needed the space

Will defo get it out again when we finally get our act together and get somewhere to live

 

badly want a marine set up but its sooooooo expensive.

how much u pay for that if you dont mind me asking?...

 

cheapest i saw it was Ł129 just for the tank, light, filter etc.

I payed Ł120 but got:
tank, light filter etc.
6 bags of gravel
5 extra filter media
1 pot of food
1 thermometer
Algae scraper.

was a deal all totally new. Been waiting for ages to get a bigger tank but like Oranoco, i had to get a place of my own first.

Don't know what extra fish to get or how many i can have, in the old tank i have....

2 x Angel Fish
2 x Ancistrus
1 x ???? some worm looking thing (think it's a type of loach)
5 x Checkered Barb
2 x Platy

how oftern do you change those blue pads in the filter or the white one for that matter?

Also how ofter do you change the water and how much? 25% per change?

Thats an old photo,i have quite a few but not too many,so they have room

Blue pad's i generally change every 6months and the white one every second time i clean the filter.Yeah mate,about 25% of the water so it doesnt upset the balance too much

Haha, makes my little bowl in my room with nemo in it seem quite crap (oh come on, novelty name for novelty value)...I had one called jaws aswell, but nemo kinda savaged him.....so maybe I gave them the wrong names?

 

will get a tank this weekend but will have to wait to do a porno expensive set up I reckon

 

you could just turn the back of the cossie into one big fish tank

to be honest thats where i got most of my gear from, quite cheap too, probably would have cost at least another 2 or 3 hundred more if id bought new

my tank looks big in the photos but its only 4 foot X 1 foot X 1.5 foot

 

the skys the limit on what you want to spend...bit like owning a cossie really

Bargain! Always wanted more fish, mine all got some weird disease and died. I was that disgusted with them I chucked everything out lol, miss it now!

a woman gave it to my lad,cameron 3 years old
70 litres with everything pump etc...

ive got a rekord 120.. i recomend you get the venturi device that fits onto the pump as the normal circulation is a bit pants... with the venturi the surface of the water gets moved round a LOT more
