Default Assitance por favor :) electrical help needed

me and two mates are looking at renting a lockup/garage to work on a few of the cars..

we've looked at one, and its perfect, decent price, and big enough for 6 cars..only problem is it has no windows..and no electricity!

how would we go about getting lighting in there?

do we need to connect to the mains? how much is this, and how do we go about it?

or can we use the big yellow site batteries??

anyone able to help will be much appreciated

For the place to have its own electrics u will need connecting to the mains, think its around £1000 per utility!but then theres the wiring to consider and i dont know who would supply u with a meter!

I dont know much i just know it aint cheap!Ive never seen the site batteries even though i work on loadsa sites...What about using a generator think that would be ur best bet!

Buy a generator. Cheaper than getting mains electricity and it's portable too, so if you move lock ups you can take it with you

we thought about generators, but the site is quite close to houses, and we wanna keep noise to a minimum.

the yellow site kit i was thinking about is the 112v stuff i think?

Generators aren't that loud. New ones are about 70DB IIRC

Put it in a box or something

Those yellow boxes you see on building sites are just transformers that knock the voltage down from 240 to 110, they are still plugged into the mains
