I have a Series 1, and my local place has a clutch specified for 1986-1992 Escort RS Turbo, my car is a 1985, but are the Series 1 and 2 clutches the same ? If so i will just get this one

Cheers

If its just the clutch you need opposed to a kit then either will be fine as there both 220mm

The plates got a different pattern on it (for the locating lugs/dowels/whatever there called) so it just wont physically go on. I had this problem recently after buying an s2 kit and realising i needed an s1 kit in the end

the clutchs are different as the s1 uses a smaller flywheel

a s2 is 220mm i think and a s1 is 200mm

If they have one, i BELIEVE that a 1.8d uses the same fitment clutch kit. So take your clutch cover with you and just double check
