whats it mean if the oil light stays on for a few seconds
i have noticed recently that my oil light stays on for about 3 seconds when first starting from cold its fine after that
its a bit like when you fit a new oil filter and the light stays on for a bit to fill the filter with oil
i think it could be the oil draining out of my oil cooler at night (mocal 13 row) because its above sump height
when the car has been fired up it wont do it again untill i come back to it after work at 5.00 at night
just wonderd what your thoughts are on this because the engine was built last july and has covers about 12k miles and i cant afford a rebuild
cheers!

Change the switch, if it persists, then you need to worry, end of.
What you have to say to yourself is, "its only going to get worse".
Deal with it now, befroe your doing 120 mph down the mway and the pump fails altogether and takes the entire engine with it.......
