Mapping a cossie this week and have run into an alternator overheating problem, so, who happens to have the Ford heatshield that fits onto teh back of them as standard?
Anyone local ish?

Made one for mine out of an old piece of my standard 2wd turbo heatshield 
Bolted it on using the bolts that hold compressor housing to turbo core
Mine melted the reg on alt,was charging at over 16 volts

thats your best bet as it can be shaped round the alternator...
we just extended the two bolts on the back and drilled thru this..

Ive no problems at all making a DIY heatshield but i truly do want the original made for teh purpose one chaps, it works extremely well.

There should be one under your workbench as i left one there a while back 
try in the boxes where you keep the odds and sods like bits of silicone hose etc
