You say about you being pushed out of your business by people undercutting you ,, well thats how we feel mate , I put everything i had into my business and i have to live with people trading and trying to undercut me also and its not easy trying to match prices of people who trade for spare cash when i have massive overheads , thats why this site works as it looks after the traders who do it for a living

now you see our point mate :tops

my point about breaking 5 cossies was taking the piss as thats what you said you were doing with the grilles ,,just doing it to help people out ,,year right

doesnt matter how much you earn...advertisement fees are set...its up to you to cover the cost.

Do you think autotrader would charge you less cos you didnt make as much? Nope....so why should PF..

You sold grilles that you bought to sell....thats trading end of...doesnt matter how you make...

If you dont understand what is being said to you theres no wonder youre only a car cleaner

for instance someone posts a car for sale on here and then some people rip the thread to bits by slaging the car of .it s happening now in this post .im not stupid im just trying to resolve something in the right way and in the best option for me and others.anyway i was wrong that i didnt say or what cars were mine to sell etc etc and saying 50 or 20 grills r for sale etc etc.your right in every way but a little consideration of selling 3 of my own cars and that i have sold 3 grills and it fills all the presure is on me .i just hope everyone else gets the same as what has happened to me.a little consideration goes a long way especially keeping a member

Just put them on ebay and if there are buyers for them then you will find them!
The RS world is a lot bigger than forums like this and Ebay is your way forward
It will cost you a few quid to advertise them on there of course but just be a little shrewd with your listings

not being funny but my views wont change anything i think thanks all the same.maybe in the future if i can make enough out of rs bits then it be worth me paying the £150 to do it all.just seems passionford people loose out on the grills and other little things.thanks for all your comments and i do understand were you come from with the traders membership.

cheers

Look mate, if you are buying stuff to sell then you are trading, end of. Nobody is having a go at you and I'll tell you what, I know all about being skint and struggling to get by mate, I really do. But what you have to understand is that without the fees that the traders here pay, there wouldn't even be a board to have an argument about it on!

They and you gold members are what keeps this place here.

Please don't get your back up mate because nobody is seriously having a go at you. In future I would suggest that the best thing you can do is look at each selling medium, find out the costs, work out whether it is worthwhile to you to pay those costs, and then make your decision on whether or not to trade via that medium.

That way you can avoid all this in the future.

Sell 30 of those grilles on eBay mate and then use the £150 you make to become a trader here, then you can concentrate on making profits

bigrsjay:

as bad as it sounds, whether ur making 1p or £300, if u are advertising more than one of the same thing I personally would class it as trading.

From the mods point of view, you could have had emails/pm's regarding the items and sold the lot!

We have all paid our £20 to list, but if it is substantial amounts of the same goods you want to sell, then that fee seems very reasonable!!

Best of luck to u and ur family, im in a bit of stuck at the moment!

Dont shoot but i have a idea,

if you earn £55,000 a year or more you have to be VAT registered if not you dont have to be registered so why not have somthing like that if you sell more than 5 of the same item you have to pay traders fee
just a thought

to be honest in this day and age if you can't turn over 58k in 12 months and register for vat then you shouldn't be a trader anyway, more of a hobbyist!!!

on another note, this guy has gone to the trouble he says of having the series 1 grills remade-didn't this cost a lot of money then, plastic mould tools aren't cheap circa 35k for a set up to do a grill like this, and moreso why when Hadrians still stock them and are good quality?

i own my own business and only turn over a average weekly wage which is good enough for me as i would rather work for myself
