Default SECS monitor alarm limits

I fitted a second hand SECS to my escos and it was running but went out today and getting a few alarms, flashing up for Map input and for water high temp. Car is driving with no probs and temp gauge is normal. I was wondering if the limits for the alarm had been set lower by the previous owner. Its showing a peak of 24psi map and water temp max of 102.

You can set these to whatever limits you want for boost and i assume water injection, if you need the SECS instructions PM me your e-mail address and i'll send them. Cheers

Hold down BOTH buttons to access the alarm setting panel and sensor types menu and set them accordingly.

that map input fault is a case of too much boost as I dont think the SECS monitors can read more than 2bar boost.

Mine always flashes up with that error on hi boost and hard driving.

Not splitting hairs, but the SECS monitor can only read as much boost as a 3 bar MAP sensor

It just converts the 0-5V signal to the ECU into PSI

If you're running over 2 bar on a 3 bar sensor, then your ECU is blind to the extra air

Neil.

Been and re set all the alarms and checked the rest of the settings and took the car out and all seems to be ok. Im only running 20 psi just now and the alarm was set to 25 so dont know why it flashed that up. But all seems ok now.
