Default COSWORTH POWER STEERING PROBLEMS HELP PLEASE

2 months ago power steering pump packed up on my 4x4 saph, bearing had gone and was rattling.
replaced it with a secondhand pump which worked fine
about 3 weeks later the main pipe burst, again replaced it and was working again
this morning steering starts to feel heavy again and the power assistance has gone again pump is not noisy like the first time but it is whining when I turn the wheel, no fluid has been lost at all.
Just thinking it may be the rack on its way or have I been unlucky with 2 pumps?
any ideas please

Sounds like the rack then mate...

I've had no end of trouble sorting one out for mine - eventually I bought one from AMK and it's been spot on

Avoid DRIVELINK at all costs mate I had FOUR racks from them:

#1 was misaligned and wouldn't fit the crossmember
#2 was an XR4x4 rack (They swear blind they're the same ) and hit the arches on full lock
#3 was supposed to be my original one rebuilt, fuck knows what it was off but the mounts were on the back and the input shaft was 4" long
#4 was heavy as hell and had tight spots.

Hope you get sorted

Neil.
