Best way to remove a nut??
One of the nuts holding the coilover strut it pretty tight
cant use force as it just turns the strut shaft
cannot get anything above to hold whilst turning the nut
Will an impact driver/wrench do the job?
or can you get nut splitters?
any help much appreciated

can you hold the strut with one arm and turn the nut with the other??
nut splitters will work but shouldn't be no need,cos i doubt there rusted on your car?

ive been stuck like yourself before dave
i went out and bought a electric impact gun and it worked a treat!
you can get them from argos and machine mart,,,,
i think there 20 quid,,, you cant use them much as they burn out,, but they do work

I had one like this on my Fiesta Turbo and I found that if you put a spanner on the nut and wack it sideways with a hard rubber hammer it will effectivly give the same impact that an impact gun will and get the nut off
