This is what i put in the other post.....

Signed as this is something i have had to deal with, i got stabbed for talking to a blokes girlfriend, but considering his other half was best friends with mine and he didnt know so instead of asking he and his mates just decided to kick my head in and then the coward stabed me in the lower back...........

I decided the eye for an eye was the way to go....Then promptly moved very far away from the area.

Scum and deserve to die for what they have done to that kid and his family......

Criminals were NOT tougher when we had the birch, let alone better, more preffered IMO penalties. Plenty have talked about shitting their pants at getting it and being a proper deterant to all but the most determined criminal. The fear of serious pain/death makes everyone think twice, that's why silly little neds run riot, because the do gooders say we can hit them. Bring back corporal punishment

If the risk of goin to prison cant deter these people nothing else will...the death penalty is an easy way out....Prison is far more harsh.

Sorry IMA, they're kids that want to make a name for themselves and grew up with the notion no harm could ever come to them. If they see their peers being birched, dying, whatever, then that glory becomes less attractive. Jail is a joyride compared to proper hard time. Prison is a home from home these days. But lets look at fatboy and his band of brothers, one of whom was 17. They didn't think they were going to murder that guy, a small knife and had probably done it before leaving them with a cut and stitch in the A&E. They aren't, never will be high end criminals, no proper gangster picks on 2 guys waiting on a lift for no reason at all. They were just trying to prove how hard they were, probably not even thinking they'd get 6 months, if any jail term. That comes from knowing that the system is so piss poor at dealing with offenders its untrue. If they had been taught by teachers/police that there was a right and wrong, a proper punishment for taking certain actions, then things may have be different. I know I was all fearing, god shitting, of my father if I was brought home by the police

 

I think they should start introducing more stop searches on the street. anyone caught with knife should get life straight away.

It's besides the point really. If you read the article the accused murderer is 17 which means he wont be trialed as an adult. It's more likely he'll have men in cuddly jumpers tell him he's special and be sent to Alton Towers at the tax payers expense.

I agree with bosch_man on most of his points, ie:

Harsher punishments wont make it less likely to happen, these people dont believe they will be caught and anyway they "dont give a fuck" about any punishment anyway no matter what it is, cause they dont think about consequences to actions first anyway

Often the people committing crimes are victims of child abuse etc in the first place to make them go off the rails, giving kids in general a nicer upbringing would do more for stopping crime than having penalties where people are "hung up by their balls till they die" etc



Hhowever, i do actually feel its pointless chucking someone in prison for life, if they are going in for life anyway it means they've lost their liberty anyway and have nothing to live for, so they should just be killed instead, however i think the killings should be humane and painless i dont agree with taking revenge on them, they should just be eliminated so they dont harm society any more.

 

Totally shocking video, but unfortunately, it appears to be the society that we are living in today.
These 3 should be locked up for life without question. I'm not a big believer in the death penalty irrespective of the crime commited. I don't think promoting anarchy is the way a 'civilised' world should operate.
The problem seems to stem from this rediculous culture of political correctness we now live in. We can't 'smack' a child for doing something wrong, a copper can't drag you home if you've done something wrong cos its assault. Teachers can't use a cane, etc etc
I'm not saying that we didn't have stabbings and fighting etc 20 years ago but it appeared alot more isolated. Now its an every day thing for a kid to carry a knife for 'protection'.
