hi guys look i need help asap

i need to know what and where to buy engine components for a 1998 1.6 16v Zetec to make it go go go

i have a bet with my mates that i can get it up to 300bhp or there abouts in the next 4 months! i have time and money to do so but only 1500 and 4 months so any advice or info would be great!

i bought a modulation resistor that tells the engine that the air flow is colder than realy is and am getting about 5-20 bhp more(not done rolling road yet) and also some things called vortex airflows! these cause air to ciculate better and gives better combustion!

i want to find plasma spark plugs, induction kit, exaught system, turbo, chip, bore out the pistons to bigger size, get stage 2 race cams( if possible) and any thing else that will help so any ideas pleae help asap!

 

Put that in the bin would be the first step IMO. Why on earth would you want to trick your ECU into thinking its cold when it isn't? Those Ebay resisitors are shit.

I don't want to sound funny, but 300bhp from that engine without a turbo is not going to happen. Especially not for the budget you have.

Throttle bodies would be a start, but the bodies alone will suck most of your money.

 

You might aswell pay your mates now as youve lost the bet with that engine and that little cash

i had to talk my mate out of it, he's pretty down to earth but just a bit shit with computers and stuff - he didnt realise there were con-men on ebay

 

my fiances sisters fiance bought one of them for his focus which i think is a 1.6. he reckons he has 20bhp extra and it uses shit loads more fuel. I didnt even bother wasting my breath trying to explain how much BS it was

 

a bit like a mate of mine who told me he used to have a 5th injector on his 2 litre astra,apparently it made it go really fast!like nitrous when u turned it on!
