Broke my record and my car :(
Picked the S2 up from having the MOT done and promptly broke it within the hour
Popped into the office to drop the orang tit off and camera and as I left decided to wind it up. Nice bang and the car ground to a standstill.
Fortunately it looks like it's just blown one of the solid pipes off that go's from under the throttle body to something under the inlet. The rubber grommit thingy though has been lost and Ford no longer do them
Looks like a weekend playing in scrappies for me.
Ah well at least once car made the meet last night

Sorted.
Nipped back to my mums place at lunch and found an oldthrottle body with the rubber grommit in place.
Popping outsied now to bolt it all up and see what happens

This is the culprit.
It's a stupid little rubber bung that goes in a hard pipe from underneath the throttle body to a gizmo (technical term) under the inlet fannimold.
Went to Borehamwood this morning before work only to be told the item is no longer available and there was no stock Dug round my Mum's garage and found a polished throttle body that I never fitted and it had the rubber bung on it
All sorted and the old girl fired up first time
Moral of the story is don't show off leaving the office car park
