be very very careful with that, my bruv in law and myself looked at this on sunday, on the V5 it says Sierra Base model not cossie, on DVLA site same thing, on insurance it says GLX. the car has a fair few scracthes, leaking sunroof and misfire at 4k. a couple of panel gaps are a bit odd for my liking too. My mate didnt HPI it as he decided against it. The history is not Full as there is a gap from 50k to current millage 74k, although it does has a recent service done, but its not FSh as described, the MOT's back up the millage but still.
The seller wants 6.5k but considering he paid the owner 4k for it, you may bargin him down

Just a few bits to add to the description by Gra (my brother in law)
The service history book is stamped from new up until 2001, and is backed up by service sheet print offs from Ford for these services. The next stamp in the book was Feb/March 2006 where it had the cam belt change and full service (£700+ receipt). There is no history apart from a new exhaust between these 2 periods. There is approx 7 MOT cert's, from the most recent backwards. There are no early MOT's. All this seemed a little strange as this car has only had 1 owner therefore I would have expected the history to have been consistant
As for the car, it appeared in fairly good nick. Points to note -
- Both the front and rear bumpers have been resprayed by the trader's mechanic, both were refitted pretty badly (the front one was very loose).
- The battery tray is rusty.
- There was a mis-fire around 4k rpm.
- There was an oil burning smell after the test drive (possibly due to the mis-fire?????)
- There is a water leak originating between the sunroof and windscreen which drips down from the roof lining and settles by the handbrake.
The trader informed us on arrival that the alarm was faulty and therefore he had disconnected the battery. After re-connecting the battery it was dead and the car needed a jump. The trader informed us that the car had not been driven for 2 days (possibly this could be a concern).
I hope this helps anybody who may be looking at the car.

had all the plates (plate by the b pillar) but i didnt have access to the V5 to check and verify the VIN,
the misfire could be summit very easily sorted so that wasnt a massive concern, but 1 part of the Battery tray came away in my hand, but couldnt get the battery off to check it our, the drivers side wing was not great and would maybe need attention as it was starting to go, the back arch whilst not rusty, didnt feel right, but i couldnt put y finger on it, and it was parked so close to another car so coldnt really see properly lol, the seller did say he had someone take the car apart for 4hrs and then walk away
we were there for about 2hrs and walked away
