Help needed on the cosworth
as title was out in the cosworth and wen giving it some its is limiting at 4-4.5 rpm it just burrbles and pops like its hitting the rev limiter early it sounds like it could be a back fire but im not sure (rough spec is chip,stg 3, rs500 i/c,d/v,ram air filter, i only got car yesterday so im gettin th spec confirmed by garage) i have power readouts for 348bhp, anywaywould could the problem be im worried now my mate was behind me and said he is sure he saw some black smoe come out of th exhaust when it was limiting,
i tried reving it to 6k stand still and it did and wen i was in second i took it to 6k whilst movin but i donr it gradually so it was prob offf boost I NEED HELP LOL!!

im sure he said it was runnin 26psi but i sure wen i drove it tonight it was hittin 30psi how can it change though as wen he took me out in it it was fine and on way home seemed fine but tonight not so good

PROBLEM
I have had similar probs in mine mate, set up needs to be right, first chip i installed was no good, now have Bayjoo chip+pectel board, problems again this time it was the loom plugs that run along the bulk head at back of engine/rocker cover, cut them out and joined wires together lasted about 18 months same probs again now, car may need re-looming, cossies lovely when their working properly and a pain in the ass when their not my car runs around 25-23 psi on the boost peaks at 25 holds 23

i had the exact same symptoms with my rs turbo engine, would rev fine and then sound like it cut to 2 cylinders.
as people have said it was the plugs, was blowing the spark out. when i took them out they were set at 0.7mm, i reset them at 0.6mm and its perfect now. different engines but sounds exactly the same.

yeh it will be getting all that ksa when it has it full overhaul and major service all plugs, leads,dizzy,oil,fuel filter and pump etc etc
ksa im sure i know u from rsmania when u had ur awesome rst u were good mates with t28 i think

When i bought my saph i did the cambelt and tensioner too.
