Default How to get a day at Brunters?

I went down there last month and had a good time with Fast Ford and some other fiestaturbo.com members...and may be able to go again in two weeks' time. I'd like to get some forum members along in their Fiestas again if possible, but don't really know how to approach Bruntingthorpe about it

I've seen videos on here of Christian's, showing a load of PF members having some really good fun there! So...what are the chances of us lot being able to do the same? Use of the straight and track, no timing equipment. What would be the best way to describe what I want to do, and does anyone have an idea of cost? I'd rather ask around before calling up, asking if we can "test our cars" only to be turned away. Thanks

Ring up, say you want use of the entire track for the day or however long you want it for), and the number of cars, simple.

And then say "ok, not to worry, bye now" once you realise you cant afford it

Cheers Steve, very helpful! I expect two hours would probably be enough, it depends on cost though. If it's cheaper, it could be a longer session. Does anyone have a proper idea of price please?

Seriously, its a lot.
Dependant on cars, time, exactly what parts of the track you using, and what sort of deal you can strike with them.

Basically you a lot better off doing a trackday unless you specificly wanted to time your car.

Or even better, get invited to one of the many mag thrashes there.

They got noise limits there now too which has fucked things right up, so prob better off with Elvington now.

I know it's a lot matey, I wasn't expecting it to be £5 an hour though. As I say, I was there with Fast Ford last month, but a friend has invited me along with him as he's doing some top speed testing and offered to pay for me. I'm hoping if five other guys want to come along we could start splitting some costs, which is why I want to know what prices people have paid in the past, and how to word it best so they don't expect a bunch of chavs pulling handbrake turns all day. I'll be taking my car to Elvington too, including next week, but want to know about Bruntingthorpe specifically.

Actually it aint that expensive. £50 per hour per car. Remember their Noise limit or you will be paying & not running. £200 for a four hour Test day is the best value ever.

Thanks Rod That's excellent value, I don't know what the fuss was all about! Spot on, you're right, £200 for four hours is great. Any chance of group discounts? lol

I guess there's no real reason for it to be Fiestas only! Quick stuff though I'll speak to them shortly and see what the deal is Surely loads of people on here have already been and have a good idea of what to suggest though?

Because the locals are a bunch of moaning bastards who can't cope with the fact that the airfield's been there longer than their over-priced executive homes.

Had a good day, but if u value your paint, u wont be going fast

We put tape up the sideskirts of my car & the amount of stones that were lodged in the tape was unreal

& that was at a slow 130 mph.... I worry to much tho

cost wise i think for the 2 cars for the day was around £500 maybe more.... u would have to ask Nick from perf ford.

Yeah my bumper, bonnet and bonnet vents all took a sound hammering there last month too. Name of the game though eh? Have spoken to Neil at Fast Ford, I'll bite the bullet and call them today or tomorrow.
