Default Rover 416 Door card removal Help!!

right now i know this isnt ford but i know there a lot of mechanics on here so im hoping someone wil be able to help.

I need to get the rear door card of a Rover 416sli with manual windows i have take the 2 screws out from the interior door handle and the 1 that is in the door catch now it looks like its held on by the window winder but i cant see how to take it off? and also is there anything else thats holding it on?

I guess i should find a Rover forum tho i think that might be a hard job.lol

hi mate

grad the handle and pull towords yourself you will see a clip behind it get a small screwdriver and push the clip off its a pain to do first time but take it easy the spring may fly off, put a little tape around the top edge to stop you loosing it.

its i little bit like a u with to lips of each end

I only need 2 check the central locking solinoed as isnt locking

just the screws on the out side of the trim

screws in the door handle, and one i think in the lever
to open from inside

Yeh i got the door card off mate just gota work out how 2 get the solenoid out now i was kinda hoping it had come disconnected from the door pin and preventing it locking but its all connected and makes a noise when locking and unlocking but it doesnt lock it or unlock

Also need to find out how 2 take the interior clock out also.lol

no it looks like its connected from the back and u gota take the whole front suround off


So how comes u got quite a good knowledge of Rovers then?

If it's the earlier model (no idea on the later ones) The large walnut strip on the dash is just held in with spring clips, and will just pop out. be careful though on the end nearest the door, it'll break off if you're too rough.
