Default Ebay Help...

Just sold an Item on ebay, put on the listing that it was collection only... Due to the bulk and weight of the item, (it's a roll cage). THe guy who has won the auction has now asked for it to be posted for £20?

Now I have tried to be diplomatic, and answered him as such...

Hi mate, I did ask that if postage was required, you contact first... I dunno where the guy got £20 from if you can find the carrier and let me know then I'll try. But due to the size and weight the cheapest I can find is £25 if it's below 35kg, above that it's £47, I haven't actually tried to weigh it, but i'll see if I can sort it tommorow.
I can see this getting messy, any comments, advice please?

If you stated it was collection only and don't want to post it to this person then don't!

If he won't pay the correct carriage costs then obviously he will not go through with the transaction. Make sure you open a dispute with Ebay for this transaction, that way you will get your commission and listing fees reimbursed. You will have no problem getting it back if the listing clearly stated collection only.

Sadly if he leaves negative feed back it is almost impossible to get it removed, just leave same for him and also you can leave a reply to his negative comment, so anyone reading the negative comment can see your reply to it.

Looks like another Ebay prick, ive got one at the moment who has bought an engine off my and i stated it was collection only. I did offer to deliver it for a fee but he was busy, now his not happy about the £95 delivery costs.

His now being a pain to get hold of and still has not payed for the item

Funnyest thing was after he won the bidding he kept asking random questions like what cc was the engine, did it come with the ECU etc?? WTF

Surely any normal person would have asked before buying the fooooker!!!

just state to him, its collection only as per auction description! and postings not an option due to your time being limited, contact the second highest bidder offering them a second chance offer.
