If you've access to a ramp, you can get away with lowering & supporting the box to fit one.

Drop the box?

Fook doing that!.. I ws thinking it was more a case of swapping the selectors around!

As in lower slightly & support - it is normally a box out job for the 4x4 box.....but can be done like I said above if you have access to a ramp.

They can actually be fitted from inside the car Bill!
Just remove the centre console etc...and remove the big circlip that holds the knuckle in place and Bills your uncle
But as i said they make very little difference!

Without lowering the box at all? Maybe a slightly different matter on your modified 2wd-4x4 tunnel perhaps....??

SPADGE,

What about the bolt that goes through the knuckle.

This is inside the cradle that bolts to the box that is difficult to get at, hence lowering the box or taking the box out.

Your absolutely right, although I did mine without lowering the box, however I wouldnt recommend it cus it was a nightmare, no access for spanner!!!! But i think it was well woth it, gives a nice feel but doesnt really help change gear faster just feels nicer
