Yes and Yes depending on how you look at lower charge air temps with a 500 cooler thus alowing you to run more boost

It depends on what power level / existing intercooler you have, so it is impossible to give a a "yes / no" answer.
If you had a 2wd intercooler with anything on or above green injectors, then an RS500 one would definitely see an improvement in power.
However, if you had a 4x4 intercooler and the same power, then an RS500 intercooler would only allow you to retain the power levels in hot ambient temps that you might lose with the 4x4 one because it wasn't man enough. However, in cold ambients, you would see no actual gains (unless you were pushing over 400bhp, then you would be in the same situation as with a 2wd intercooler above).
