the train journey to and from working has really started to bore the fook out of me.. hence I need a PSP to pass the time..

Now,. I dont want one of the normal ones.. Id like one, than can play backups of my mates games

Which version is it please, and does anyone have one that they want rid of..

Only so many times you can play aeroplane thingy on the SonyEricson..

You need one which is version 1.5 or lower IIRC and these arent avail new anymore, plus they wont [play many new games

Id buy a second hand one Damo, so no worries if new or not..

When you say they dony play many new games no more? they play a select few then I take it.. as long as Fifa is ok, then thats all I want really

Dont you need a 1gb memory stick or bigger though? im still on the basic one

You need a PSP with firmware version 1.5 to play most of the homebrew and "backed up" games from a memory card.

Newer games such as GTA and I think fifa too require firmware v2.0 and above as it contains special video and sound codecs to make the game work (crafty ploy to get gamers to upgrade their firmware and stop the ablity to play homebrew games). - this also means these particular games although can be backed up cant be played!

And yes you will need a bigger memory card. 2Gb will set you back about £65 but 4gb and 8gb are comming out soon which will be silly expensive but they will mean the 2gbs drop in price.
