Anybody know of a suitable smaller alternator for a sapph 4x4 cossie from another car???

If so, what car and what model???

well without getting to much into detail, move my engine over by about 1 1/2" but where the alternator is it would foul on the steering column.

So either a smaller bodied alternator so that there is additional clearance or remoutning of the Alternator somewhere on the other side of the engine (which ive heard of)...

the simple answer is go to a scrappy and get one off a jap car like a nissan mirca there very small,thats what the kit car boys do,at the end of the day you dont need a big power one as your only charging the battery if its a kit car

motorbike ones are also very small with tidy outputs

ive tested a 1200 bandit one a few years back which is now fitted to a car
