Kinda been a home from home since I was 11 - best pal lived there so I was there most days after school.

Then when we got older we used to gig there most weekends in a band

Now I work there

Bit of a shit hole really

why...
I work for Ford - in Bridgend a few of the engineers were talking about possible areas to live if they moved to Dagenham engine plant - and a couple of people in work suggested Walthamstow??

And I thought Chatham was bad.... lol

One of my mates had the doors robbed off his transit, along with the bonnet and various other major parts!
To be fair though, pretty much everywhere is a shit 'ole now and has its problems

In the vacinity, there are worse places tan Walthamstow. You could live in Tottenham (N15/N16), or Leyton (E10) or worse still, Wood Green (N22)...

Chingford (E4), next door to Walthamstow is much nicer (most parts) and some bits of Leytonstone (E11) (the Wanstead side) is also better.

Also got Woodford Green (IG8/9) which is MUCH nicer, but loads more expensive (like Chingford)

Walthamstow is about half hour or so from the Docklands, bank on another 15-20mins to get to Tower Bridge/London Bridge/Liverpool Street (normal ish traffic)

Either way its gonna be one HELL of alot dearer than where you are now....

E11 (Leytonstone) a 2/3bed victorian terraced house will cost circa 200k

And with the advent of 2012, these prices are only going to rise ..... dramatically....

Great for people like my old man who own freehold around there not so great for those wanting to buy lol

Personally if I were working in Dagenham I would move further out in Essex or to The Garden of England
