first engine= bolt sheared on alternator bracket belts came off and went in the cam belt.

second engine= complete 4+4 engine burnt a valve (too much boost)

third engine= rebuilt the 4+4 engine spun the shells after 75 miles (caused by lint off a rag collecting at the pick up pipe strainer)

fourth engine= rebuilt the 4+4 engine again melted three pistons after 1200 miles (caused by a shit greys chip with too much ignition advance)

fifth engine= rebuilt the 4+4 engine again block cracked after 5k miles

sixth engine= rebuilt again using a 205 block no problems at all and used up untill 2 1/2 years ago.

seventh engine= this is my current one.

this is in 11 1/2 years.

Shit Ian Some bad luck there chap

This is my second Cossie and I rebuilt the 205 block myself and then got Karl Norris to live map it, well impressed

Luckily I rebuilt it through choice (was a bit tired after 95,000 miles) and not because anything bad happened

Completely mangled my first RST engine.

Snapped a rod in the second one (it was a ZVH)

And most recently melted 2 in the Fiesta after a fuel pump failure

New spec will be decent though

The block has just cracked, first thing in 9 years of cossie powered cars.

Did have the engine rebuilt 3 years ago because it was tired.
