Default anyone good with electronics? (resistors)

I'm putting the bike up for MOT soon but I've replaced the standard repeaters with mini ones and the flasher rate is too high

I know I can put a resistor in the + wire to reduce the rate, but how do I work out what rating resistor I need?

Thanks for any help

you can also just buy some new bulbs with the same wattage rating as the originals to correct the flash rate
