Maybe not the right forum but Fords with climate control may do this too. When the climate control is on on mine the electric fan turns itself on too even when its just been started and cold. I cant see anything other then the radiator that its cooling more? Is there a reason the fans running as the engine drives a fan as well as this electric one?
Anyone elses do this or is it just mine?

 

yes they all do it (unless you have a specific air con fan) They are used to cool the air con compressor I think which is usually located around the radiator.

Normally they ran at half speed in this mode (until rad fan switch cuts in)

 

the fan is taking energy out of the air conditioning condenser
