what parts need changing as well as the head gasket?
where best to get the parts from and a rough price?

New Tensioner is deffo required for this job, not quite sure what else apart from gasket and bolt set obviously.
Don't necessarily need a new chain but if the miles are getting up it's probably worth doing if your keeping the car!
Think the cost of all the parts comes to about Ł150!
Excluding a chain of course!

as long as it doesn't smoke it'll be fine
i've bought the whole kit off of ebay gasket wise and it was only ŁŁ70 (this is for the 2.3)
when i did my twinky (it's the same bits you need) i did the oil pump and tensioner and chain as well as all the guides and that lot came to less than Ł120
make sure you put thread locking stuff on the bolts that hold the chain guide arms in place, they tend to work themselves loose and make a mess if you don't
the new chains come with little marks on them to make sure even a doofus can't time them up inccorectly![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
just make sure that if you need to take the woodruft key out you turn the engine over with the head off (you'll also need a puller to get the crank pulley off)
one more thing, don't forget that there are 3 little bolts hiding inside the chain hole in the head, these are sometimes covered with oil and you don't spot them![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
any other questions just let me know, it really is a peice of cake on these
one mroe thing, they use a 3 layer gasket and the antifreeze/coolant mix should be 40% coolant-60% water

yeah.. there are some good examples out their your right.. but i'm affraid this isn't one of them. its was up forsale before the head gasket went and i don't see it's worth spending anymore than you have to if your selling. get it running and get shut.!
