bluefin question....

Default bluefin question....

if a bluefin unit has been used, can it be re-used on another car? or does it lock itself to that cars ecu codes?

it depends on wether its the old black unit or the new one. old ones cannot be reset however the new ones can by superchips at a cost and only by the person who brought it or owns it basically

its a white unit thats for sale but isnt garaunteed so im a bit edgy on it. shud i just leavit? its a really good price tho. on the other hand, i know a guy who has one for his focus rs. would it be worth while trying his in my st170?

It wont work... They lock themselves to one car so people cant sell them on. Superchips can re set some but it costs and you need to have a good reason and buying it off someone else isnt!!!

The RS ones setting will be different as well mate...

think ill give it a miss then, they told me if i register the warrenty in my name they will reset it for me as long as its registered to me. sounds a bit iffy!
