Help please (escos replica)
Hi all i've been thinking about turning my xr3i 130 into an escort cossie rep but i've heared there are some difficult bits to get right????
One being the filler cap area? can anyone please shed any light on this for me and any other problem area's i may have incase i decide to go ahead with it,
Also if i do it i will use new escos wings and full rear quarters but will i need the outer sills for the side skirts or can i get away with it?
Please be aware if i do it i want it to be as exact as possible so any help anyone could give i'd really appreciate it,
I would also like to hear from those of you that have done this before (THERE MUST BE SOME OF YOU) Thanks in advance cheeRS, Grant.

if you are thinking of using genuine new ford quarter panels & wings my advise would be to buy a real one
the front wings cost me abt £500 a pair if you can get them now
Only worth spending cossy prices on real cossies
thats the best advise i can give you

PassionFord Post Whore!!
As above, you sound like you want to try and do it well - that will cost loads. Wait that bit longer and get a real one They are not as expensive as they once were...

S1sam, I think your half right, the front wheel sits way back in the genuine arch iirc, I think thats right anyway!
Theirs something about escos reps, even very well done ones, they just dont seem to be that cool imo

That's right, real Escos panels do not fit. It's sad but true
I once wanted to do this but saw the light
The Escos is such a nice looking car that a rep seems like a good idea, but to be honest you come to realise that you'll just get shown up when a Scooby etc wants to race and people will always always pick fault with it.
But if it's what you want and you can spend decent money on it, then go for it.
