Default F'ing Clifford alarms

Thats it had enough with Clifford

Constantly going wrong, lost both codes in the key fobs last year no one would come out not even car electronics, the place that fitted it so had to get the rac to tow it to them.

Now ive lost a code in a fob again so took it to them to sort out and they tell me they cant because the valet code has been changed and ive never touched that

The only way they can fix it is to take it out and send it to clifford and it will cost a minimun of £120!!!

Had tons of problems with it so as soon as its off the road end of september im ripping the fooking thing out and i'll fit a decent make.

So if any of you lot want a new alarm all i'll say is stay away from clifford but then again at least you wont get your car stolen as you cant even start it yourself half the time

Absolutely!

Any problems with Clifford or Toad will generally be down to installation!

Clifford alarms come with a life time guarantee so any problems and it should all be covered. Had loads of problems with mine to start with and never paid a penny.

Cliffords always get bad things said about them but my concept 600 is good as gold. (whoops now i've done it! ) I heard that they are only good if installed properly too.

sounds like a bad install or dealer - I've had Cliffords on all my decent cars, and they've been sound. I use an excellent installation co., so maybe that helps.

Think Stu knows a good installer anyhow. Cousin or something. If I was clsoer Id use him based purely on the way I know he goes about installing the thing. Methodically and properly. Not just a get it in get it out mentality.

PM him

I have a Clifford in my S1 and is playing up. Won't activate the central locking frmo the fob - not too bad till you realsie my doors are delocked Arms and disarms fine, but won't lock or unlock the doors

Actually, jsut worked fine jsut now

Got a brand new Matrix III (American version of Concept 600 IIRC) to go in in it's place if some nice alarm fitter wants a private job

So you hate Cliffords cos you think they're cack. But you want to fit another Clifford to replace it

Oh and any non-Uk system wont be Thatcham approved.

Anyway.

One day someone will invent an alarm system, with loads of add ons Anti-Hijack, Tilt Motions, remote start etc etc It will work perfectly 100% of the time, it will be clever enough to know when its going wrong and will adjust itself accordingly and inform the driver.

That company will make the others go under! I REALLY cant wait.

Wouldn't use a Clifford alarm on any car of mine. My tally of authorised Clifford installers that have told me they are shite has gone up by another count.

Surely not all these Clifford agents can be wrong?

And it says somthing when they even tell the customer the alarms are crap and recomend other alternatives (often cheaper too)

on one car whenever i put the microwave on it used to set the clifford off which was parked in the car port next to the wall lolol

my other golf mk3 one, the fucker used to test itself while i was driving down the road i'd have to try and disarm it and take thre batteries out really quickly before it tested again lololol

they do my head in, but i think i'd still have one? lol
