Default Annoying torque steer.....

Have had my ERST done for about a month now, got the Gotech Management on, running bar of boost - 220BHP

My old escort was 200 bhp but I enjoyed driving it more, although it only had 15" wheels

This time I have 17" wheels, and around where I live there at lots of nice twisty roads, although bumpy. I used to like being able to 'leave' people through the corners. But im scared to put my foot down in this one, its all over the place.

Do you think this is mainly due to the 17" wheels??

Have full Koni Adjustable suspension btw.

Cheers

IMO its not so much the amount of torque but the way its delivered, that causes torque steer.

To reduce it i reckon it helps to have adjustable TCA's and to get the torque to be produced progressively but increasing as the revs and speed rises.

not like most T3 turbo'ed RST's where they produce ALL of their torque very quickly at around 3000 rpm and coupled with a diff thats trying to put the power down it throws you about on the road

Yeah its fun, but think i wud rather have a car that handles and stops better rather than straight line speed!
Was thinkin of tryin 15's but looks loads better wiv the 17s! think ill just leave it and build my arm muscles up!!

I have had a S1 escort and a FRST and the big difference between the escort and the fiesta is the lack of LSD on the fiesta - change the box for a S2 escort box and the car will be much more fun to drive!
