Default the AA man is a very nice man indeed :)

up the motorway last night in the hot weather on high boost,

come off the motorpway and pull up at some ligths, POOOFFF!!! water and steam every where

limped to the nearest garage and called the aa, i had no tools or anyting other than tile adhesive and grout in the boot

the very nice man came and found it, the oil modine water pipe had split, he replaced it with a bit of pipe he had in his truck, and we filled it up with water again and got under way, the price should have been £67 for the pipe !!! but he didnt charge me a penny as he said it must have been a error on the system, for half a meter of plain rubber hose

so now im trying to find someone who does blue silicone modine hoses, as ive tried woodford and they only do the complete kits off the shelf, individual item take 5 weeks to come anybody have any ideas

(its already got samco boost and coolant hose set fitted - just not these 2 hoses on the modine )

Whereabouts are these hoses - I'm going to have a look at mine now as a bit of future-proofing!

Nice heads-up

Cheers

Which of the 2 was it?
The long one that goes to the heater matrix or the short one that goes to the head??
Got the latter if required

it was the shorter of the 2, the one that went to the ect housing,

paul roose has sorted me out, thanks guys,

all the other hoses had been replaced any way (all the charge cooler ones etc before i had the car)

the rubber had basiaclly gone rotten and split along the top bearin mind its 14 year old rubber that has had a lot of heat and presure though it and plenty of oil over it
