Not millions - as it says K1 NGS was the most expensive for years. P1 LOT was on a brand new Audi A8 limo a little while back and has been on Bentleys, Aston's etc as well.

The first plate ever issued Some Earl camped outside the issuing office to make sure he got it back in 1903 IIRC

 

DAV1D is about quarter of a million if i remember.

 

I got offered a perfect plate for my name a few years ago for only 800 quid. Had my initial S and my last name perfectly bar an 8 for a B. Would of bought it if I didnt hate personalised plates

Barnsley Council own reg plates THE 1 & THE 2 both on Volvo S80 limos, rumour has it the Queen offered daft money for THE 1 but they turned it down.

Personally i'd have given it Danny Wilson in 1997 for getting us promotion to the Prem lol....

I have Y2PER on my FRS and bid on PER2Y in a recent DVLA auction. I was outbid and it went for about 3K. I recently spotted it for sale for 15K

 

The Queen doesn't need to display a number on any car carrying her. There's a great story about the Edinburgh Traffic wardens trying to figure out how to ticket the limo parked outside the General Assembly of the Church Of Scotland without plates!!!

Unless the plate is blatantly obvious, like 51 NGH, I can't see any reason to spend more than you'd need to for it.

the singh plate is actually S 1 NGH not 51 ngh

i know that MU51CAL went for a fwe quid and paul danials has MAG 1 C bceause he alsmot wiped me out a few years back swooshing onto the A40 elevated out of white city
