just got my first s2 rs turbo. and when i floor it in some gears it feels like something is holding it back, and some times it will lose all power and then
pick back up again.
Its running at ten psi and the bloke who i got it off said it is chipped but i am not sure. It also has a boost valve on and i have been told to take that off. can anyone help? thanks.

another fool who fits a power boost valve and expects gains, check your ecu for a chip mate and get rid of the boost valve then take it to a reputed dealer near you to check it over or it could turn out expensive

Get it to someone who knows these cars, tell us where abouts your from and we can tell you who's best for you to take it too!
I'd lay off giving it some right foot untill you get the all clear even tho it seems to be ok, as with any rs turbo bought second hand, sometimes you just dont know if it's ok!
He may mean bleed valve rather than power boost valve. . these are ok to have aslong as you dont touch it!
Not sure it sounds like lag, as it shouldnt really have a whole lot (unless you've no experience with turbo's and expect instant power when you put your foot down)

i reckon it needs a set up...
ignition timing, fueling etc...
as sed get it set up... shudnt cost much...
bet it will sort it... NO boost valve NO bleed valve NO dump valve...
NO AIR LEAKS!
