Default MK1 Mondeo SI Springs

Does anybody know if the springs off a mk1 mondeo si 2 litre are any differnt to the normal 2 litre glx springs, its just a mate had an si many moons ago, he bough some 60 mil lowering springs for it, he was digging his garage out today and found his si springs in a box at the back of his garage, said i can have them, he seems to be under the impression that they are slightly lower and stiffer than the normal springs, so i dont want to swap them over if they are they same springs as it would be pointless as there is nothing wrong with mine.

thanks in adavance.

Would you really want to lower the car by as much as 60mm ? I would imagine the ride and handling would be very compromised by that much of a drop

i wouldnt want to lower it by 60 mil no, i remember being in his when it was lowered, awfull, looked nice, handled like a go cart but the ride was terrible, the springs in question are the standard ones he took off when he put the -60mil springs on his.
