The discussion shouldnt really be about weather or not Banchester should step down or not but weather Gus should be removed from the mod squad. He is by far the worse mod on here and banchester is almost angleic in comparison

less than 24hours why because he was showing a back door into the site that had not been sorted passionford is now a safer place and that window for hackers is now GONE so did he really do anything wrong

i also think it was wrong for him to change your posts and that was worse than the hacking which as i have already said just proved a big problem with site security

How could anyone fail to know that he is a mod on other sites as when he first joined PF he let it slip at every opportunity

I come on here for 3 reasons 1.Cosworths are my hobby as are cars in general 2. It is often entertaining (even you on occasion) 3. I know lots of people on here and its nice to have a chat and a bit of banter with them on all topics.
You don't have to be well off to buy expensive cars matey as long as your credit is good you could hock yourself up to the eyeballs to buy peoples admiration

I hope that Andy has taken on board what has been said and adjusts his attitude to how he mods on PF accordingly and gets rid of his personal hang-ups with certain users.

It hasn't been a witch hunt to get rid of him as a Mod, just a bit of a wake-up call and that he can be humble enough to take heed about what's been said.

 

sorry but had it been down to me i would have banned him for longer ...

its easy to say he did it for the benifit of the board .. but he could have JUST pm'd stu or petrucci about it . but he didn't he decided to declare himself as admin and thus had the ability to accesss certain things that normal users are unable to.
how much information he could acesss is unknown by me but does it go as far as email addys or even passwords.
i am glad he did bring it to the attention of someone but he could have done it in a much better way.
he was quoted as he had posted it .. its not our fault that we did not know they were in someway friends at that level .. what should we have done .. just left it and see if anyone complained ???
when we do things right we are wrong so all this recent stuf just goes to show how hard it can be to make the correct on the spot decision...

On Forums that stick to its main subject for example the Wizard of Nos Forum, Chip is a 1st class Moderator. The problem with this Forum is that people now would prefer to discuss the size of their wifes breasts or the colour of their kitchen than Modded Fords, maybe cos many dont now own Fords .
Having recently come 2nd in the UK's 'Biggest wind-up merchant' contest ( I was soundly beaten by Tony Blair in the Final) I now use this Forum to hone my skills .
Phil rekons Gold members have some sort of rights, if you pay for a ride on a bus you dont get to own it or say in which direction it goes. The destination on this Forum is im afraid 'Going Nowhere'.
