Default Tuning options

I'm lookin at buying a mates saph and has a new engine in bits 2 build and was wondering if there was anything worth doing before it goes together that i havnt thought of as ive been off the board for a while.

Its a 200 long studded block with standard mahles and will have a standard head/cams with a thick cometic gasket..

For now it would only be stage 3 with a t34 hybrid and an air to air actuator but he was running it on a 205 block standard comp on greys before but greens will do me for now.

Guess im wondering, is standard comp gonna be a good way to go or is it worth going low comp as ive seen alot of ppl using standard comp aswell now?! and is pocketing the pistons worth doing aswell?!

Then come the head and cams, is it worth getting it ported/polished or leave as is and is it worth changing the cams for different ones?!?!

As i say for now will just be a proper stage 3 but if i decided 2 run more power and get bigger injectors/livemap etc obviously want the engine as ready as poss so i dont have 2 go stripping the head off first althou obvoiusly cams can be done at a later date easily enuff. Althou obviously wont be going big big power circa 400 later on maybe if i can be bothered!!

Cheers for any ideas
