Default compressor connections

bought myself a wolfair compressor with all the spraying etc accesories with it, but also bought a dual action random orbital air sander and the connections are different, went to my local motor factors to see if i can get a connection 2 fit, the universal connections connect as a male with 1/4" thread to the sander but the male connector is too long for the hose connection. heres a pic

does anyone know where i can get a connector to fit these or any other suggestions. any help much appreciated
