And the Creeping Death live thrack is from the famous "Moscow : Monsters Of Rock" free concert put on to celebrate the fall of communism in Russia. Pantera, Metallica, The Black Crowes (and others) played this show in Tuschino Airfield in 91, with AC/DC headlining, to one of the largest croweds ever (since it was free there was no ticket count, but organizers lost count of attendance when it got past 500,000 people!)
The video's of this event are very surreal - russian military helicopters circling the area, instead of security, the Russian army was in attendance - things got out of hand very quickly! Many many fights broke out between the kids and the military, some instigated by the kids, some instigated by the military!
There was also a reported 200 rapes, and 3 murders at the event

Benn - 2x DVD + 3x CD I think? Do you get the book, snake pit pass and stencil aswell in it?
Dogsmoke - I grew up on Metallica post Cliff, so I never really appreciated him untill I learnt more about Metallica a couple years later. I started with Master Of Puppets in about 93, then Justice, Black Album, Ride The Lightening, Kill Em All, then Load, Reload, Garage Inc, S&M, St Anger, and awhole horde of vids n DVD's, singles, bootlegs, MP3's, books, magazine specials, etc in between Next to my drums, I have probably spent more on Metallica than anything else! Including cars!

Oh and Benn, if you haven't got it, get this
Escellent DVD of the Fort Worth (Texas) gig of the Poor Touring Me tour from 1997. Picture and sound are spot on, and it's a fairly entertaining show aswell
But...... Nothing beats the Live Shit vids. IMO, those shows are Metallica are their absolute finest! The Seattle vid from the Justice tour is them at the beginning of global domination, and a well oiled live machine, and the San Diego vid from 1992 is them at their best

Oh I know what you are talking about - your talking about this;
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/METALLICA-LIVE...QQcmdZViewItem
That is actually a Japanese only bootleg - it's not an official Metallica release!
It's looks to be superb quality tho! I was thinking about buying it, except I already have all those DVD's except the Live Shit ones (Seattle and San Diego), plus I am not sure if my DVD player plays NTSC discs anyway....
It's probably the best looking and best quality bootleg I have ever seen tho!

My DVD will play all region discs no problem (put in a region hack) but there are two types of DVD - PAL (UK, Europe, etc) and NTSC (USA and Canada), just like with VHS tapes. An NTSC vhs tape will not fit into a PAL vhs player and vice versa. With all DVD's being the same size this isn't the problem, the problem is how they are written.
I am not sure if my DVD player supports NTSC playback, so I need to find out by buying a cheap NTSC disc to try out - if it does, then I might buy the box set you have, just for the sake of having it in my collection
