Default Good value for money???????????

Just been to price up the total cost of me new project and 5k all in including the price of the car gets me the following

300bhp ish
1.6 fully rebuilt engine with h section rods and proper pistons from the states
Proper drive shafts 600bhp rated
full respray including back arches, new door and bonnet
D2 Coilover suspension
Fully polly bushed
fancy manifold with gtir turbo
Managment system
set of alloys and tyres

All of the above in this car should see low 13s or even into the 12s on the quarter and 160mph is achievable

I tried the same with my series 1 but after 10k spent and still not finished i gave up and started on this 1, its going to fly

It is a honda, its fwd and a 1.6

Its a celestial blue crx vtec which weighs about the same as a pack of fags.

I weighed it up and for the power and speed i will be achieving on my budget is superb imo.

I only wish i had not started my series1 and just spent the money on me little rex, 10k would have got me 450bhp and a RAPID motor instead of what i would have ended up with

10k dont go very far, believe me i know unfortunatly.

The reason i through the towel in on it was cause it was going to cost me another 5 to get it how i wanted it.

Think about it
4k for a PROPER 2.0 zvh
£500 TURBO
£500 CHARGE COOLER
£200 SAMCO HOSES
£1000 WHEELS
£1000 BRAKES
£500 COILOVERS
£1500 RESTO WORK
£1200 GEARBOX
£300 EXHAUST
£1000 COSSIE MANAGMENT
£500 MAPPING
Then there is all the other bits that you forget about like this is fooked now so you need 1 of these

Blopdy hell makes you think!! Thats £12200 without the original purchase price of the car

Sounds about right, I tend to hunt out the bargains and do things properly but cheaply if possible Mainly using second hand parts if possible

Do yourself a favour and dont add up how much it has cost you for your 226bhp, or you will be throwing the towel in and scowering the trader for a pencil sharpener crx

I've got a good idea:

Engine = £900 2nd hand
Standard Turbo = £0
Chip = £100
Mongoose = £120 2nd hand
Samcos = £40 2nd hand
Cooler = £150 2nd hand
Alloy Rad = £150 2nd hand
Filter = £40
Kenlowes = £80 2nd hand
Tune/Set-up = £75

About £1650

Not Too Bad

Although I don't want to start adding up the rest of the car
